If I were in charge of the world

I would throw away tests.

The only color would be pink.

Softball would be the only sport.

Special K Blueberry would be the only type of cereal

and I would be Queen.

If I were in charge of the world

My loved ones would live forever.

Dogs would not age faster than humans.

Summer would be the only season.

People would not worry about medical bills.

Everyone would succeed!

would stop eating my Sperry’s!

I am curious yet cautious

I wonder if it is possible for one person to change the world

I hear the music in everyone’s head

I see their thoughts as they pass me by

I want to be “the one”

I am curious yet cautious

I pretend that this will last forever

I feel like time is passing by

I touch the moments as if they will always be there

I worry that I won’t live up to it

I cry, even though I don’t need to

I am curious yet cautious

I understand that this is my time

I say that things will always be okay

I want the “happily ever after” fairytale

I try to be the lyric stuck in your head

I hope that one day it will all add up

I am curious yet amazed
