This comic strip portrays a letter from a fifteen year old girl that was sent to Mrs. Roosevelt.  The young girl and her family were struggling to make ends meet, and the family did not have much money or furniture.  The young girl was ashamed because her friends that lived down the street had fairly nice furniture and she had none.  She was upset because she felt almost embarassed to invite her friends over because her family did not have enough money to buy furniture. She asked for Mrs. Roosevelts help.
